RENO - Sean Burroughs had five hits-including a triple and three doubles-to lead the first-place Reno Aces past Iowa, 11-5, Tuesday at Aces Ballpark.
Burroughs narrowly missed a cycle, as his opposite field double in the sixth hit off the top of the left field wall. Burroughs' big day also included four RBIs and two runs scored, and he raised his average to .386 on the afternoon.
The Aces scored nine times in the third and fourth innings, staking starter Barry Enright (1-1) to a 9-3 lead after the fourth frame.
Enright earned his first-career Triple-A win Tuesday, despite being tagged for five runs in six innings of work. Tom Layne and Kam Mickolio kept Iowa off the scoreboard over the final three innings.
