Free gospel concert at Good Shepherd

A free gospel concert by The Nelons will be presented 10:30-11:30 a.m. Sunday at Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church.

The Nelons draw from a three-decade gospel legacy begun by the Lefevres. Today, the group consists of Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason Clark and their daughter, Amber Nelon Thompson.

This family trio has received three Grammy nominations, six Gospel Music Association Dove awards, and many songs have soared to the top of the national radio charts.

They continue to produce innovative music that embraces traditional roots while bridging the generation gap of music lovers with incomparable harmonies and great songs.

During the rare times when the Nelons' are not on the road, they serve as Artists in Residence at Jacksonville's Trinity Baptist Church. As they travel - performing more than 150 concerts annually - they're ambassadors for Trinity Baptist College, where Amber is a sophomore.

Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church is located at 1505 Railroad Dr., corner of Saliman and Railroad, in Carson City. An offering will be received to help with travel expenses.
