On Saturday, Dec. 17, volunteers from all walks of life come together for a great cause. They dress up in Santa suits and elf costumes and bring joy and happiness to our homebound and senior citizens with limited financial resources by visiting them with gifts provided by business owners and members of the community.

Each year 150-200 Santa visits are made in the area. Friends to All, Inc. is seeking the names and addresses of seniors you may know that could use this caring visit. If you know a senior that could use a visit from Santa contact Gwen Pradere at 884-0180.

Pradere has a form for faxing or emailing to you to get their information.

They are also accepting donations of cash, crossword puzzle books (large print, if possible), slipper socks, gloves, hats, scarves, handkerchiefs, lotions, lip balm, 2012 calendars, packaged small food items such as candy, cookies, or nuts, gift cards from grocery or gift stores, hair salons, barbershops, or restaurants that deliver - basically anything that a homebound senior may be able to use.

The group typically uses the cash to purchase gift cards for grocery stores and they give them to the seniors in need. Your donation would be tax deductible through the 501(c) 3 Tax Deduction and your donation check should be payable to RSVP, with a notation of "Friends To All," a receipt would be provided to you. Donations may be mailed or dropped off at the Fountainhead Associates, Inc. office located at 312 W. Fourth St., Carson City, NV 89703 during regular business hours of 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday or a volunteer may be available to pick up your donation, if necessary.
