The Carson Senators JV football squad grabbed a 33-22 win over previously undefeated Manogue Thursday night in Reno.

Carson improved to 3-0 on the season heading into next week's game against arch-rival Douglas.

Quarterback Garrett Schafer led all scorers with two touchdown runs, Austin Kiesow, Austin Shaffer and Andrew Gutierrez all added one touchdown apiece. Austin Shaffer also caught a 2-point conversion from Garrett Schafer, and kicker Stefan Sobkiewicz added an extra point to round out the scoring.

The defense, led by Andy Cooper and Cody Cunningham were solid all night and even thwarted a comeback by Manogue in the fourth quarter, stopping the Miner offense on a fourth-and-inches play at the Carson 35 yard line, to secure the win.
