SCHOOL: Dayton High

YEAR: Senior

SPORT: Football

Q: What are your favorite sports and why?

A: Football and motocross. Growing up all I did is race. It's super fun and exciting, but once I started football I definitely loved everything about it. From hitting people to making friends, football was for me.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?

A: Probably Brian Dawkins. He is the leader of any team he is on, and brings more heart and intensity than anyone else in the sport.

Q: How do you feel about drug/alcohol testing? Should it be random or should everybody be tested?

A: I think it's a great idea. For too long, people have been making half-hearted commitments to sports, with the new policy people can't have their priorities divided. I think everybody on the team should be tested. In football, you need to know your whole team is on the same page.

Q: If you saw teammates using drugs/alcohol, what would you do? Would you talk to them about it, or turn them into the coach?

A: I would probably freak out. The team knows that it isn't accepted by either the coaches or captains. It would be as simple as you tell him yourself or I will.

Q: What sport have you always wanted to try but never have?

A: I've always wanted to try rugby. It's super intense and I think it would be a good test of power. It's not very big in Nevada.

Q: Do you have any hobbies?

A: In the summer and spring, I really like to golf. It's just a different place than action sports, yet it still gets you angry more than anything else. Also Dollar bowling with the team on Mondays.

Q: Do you have a favorite TV show?

A: Everyone calls me a nerd, but my favorite shows are Stargate Atlantis or Star Trek Enterprise.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Has to be ribs, but Chinese food I couldn't live without.

Q; What is the last non-academic book you read?

A: Again with the nerd thing, but I constantly re-read "Harry Potter."

Q; What has been your most thrilling moment in sports?

A: It was a long time ago, but being on the only Dayton youth football team ever to go to the championships.

Q; Who is your favorite musician or group?

A: I like everything, but it's between Brad Paisley and Offspring.

Q; After graduation, where do you plan to attend college, and what are you looking at in terms of a major.

A: After Dayton, I'm thinking about going to UNR. I've grown up loving the school and I would like to stay close to home. I would like to major in Physics and later earn a Ph.D. in Astro-Physics.
