An antique piece of firefighting equipment with ties to Carson City, and which is owned by the Warren Engine Co. No. 1 volunteer fire department, will be featured on TV's History Channel at 9 tonight.
The circa-1900s chemical cart, recently restored by Rick's Restoration in Las Vegas, will be shown on "American Restoration" on the History Channel.
The restored cart was unveiled last month during a fund-raising event designed to raise money for a larger Warren Engine Co. No. 1 fire museum. The museum is at Carson City Fire Station No. 1, at 777 S. Stewart St.
The chemical cart is among a number of antique pieces of firefighting equipment and other relics that are part of the museum owned by the longest continuously operating volunteer fire department on the West Coast. It was founded in June 1863, the year before Nevada's statehood.
