Andrew Paul Martinovich, 89, passed away September 4, 2011 in Carson City, NV. Andy was born May 24, 1922 in San Francisco, CA to Chris and Antonietta Martinovich. He is a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1946. Andy married Armida Poletti May 3, 1952 in San Francisco, CA. He worked as a machinist for the U. S. government from 1946 to 1973. He and Armida moved to Carson City, NV in 1975. They were members of St Teresa Catholic Community. Andy loved woodworking in his spare time. Andy was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Martinovich. He is survived by his wife, son, Paul A. Martinovich and daughter, Julie Mobley (William) both from Carson City, NV. Four grandchildren, Patrick Mobley, Christopher Martinovich, Allison Mobley and Phillip Martinovich.
There will be a Funeral Mass at St Teresa Catholic Church Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Andy's honor to St. Mary's Hospice. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of final arrangements. 775-882-4965
