Local dancer at NY convention

Argia Brockway of Genoa, recently attended the "All Star Dancers" National Convention in New York City.

She was selected to participate in the convention when she performed a tap dance routine at the Kid's Artistic Revue competition in Reno.

Argia is a dance student at The Performing Arts Project, located in Minden, off Johnson Lane and Wildhorse.

The five-day New York City convention included a dance workshop and a mock audition taught by the World Famous Radio City Rockettes inside the Radio City Music Hall. Argia also attended classes at New York's Premier dance studio, The Broadway Dance Center, and workshops with Broadway performers from "Wicked" and "Mary Poppins."

The convention was coordinated by Artistic Adventures of California. Argia is a seventh grade home-schooled student, and the daughter of Michael and Cassie Brockway in Genoa.
