TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Kenny Stills reached high to grab a 37-yard touchdown pass from Landry Jones midway through the fourth quarter, and Oklahoma's defense made the tiebreaking toss stand as the top-ranked Sooners beat No. 5 Florida State 23-13 on Saturday night.

Javon Harris picked off two passes for the Sooners (2-0), who forced three turnovers and harassed both Florida State quarterbacks all night.

The Seminoles (2-1) played the final 20 minutes without starting quarterback E.J. Manuel, who left in the third with a left shoulder injury.

Backup Clint Trickett kept the Seminoles in it. He hooked up with freshman Rashad Greene for a 56-yard touchdown on a third-and-28 with 9:32 left in the fourth quarter, tying it at 13.

But on the next possession, Jones went deep down the sideline to the 6-foot-1 Stills, who easily outleaped the 5-8 Greg Reid for the touchdown.

Trickett couldn't respond. On the next drive, he had a pass tipped at the line by Ronnell Lewis, and Harris came up with his second interception near midfield. Just like the first pick, Oklahoma turned it into a field goal, this one from 31 yards out by Jimmy Stevens.

No. 2 Alabama 41, North Texas 0

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy had two long touchdown runs and career rushing highs each as the Tide's defense smothered North Texas (0-3).

Richardson scored three times - including a 58-yarder and a career-long 71-yarder - and had most of his 167 yards on the two long ones. He had 24 yards at halftime against the Mean Green (0-3) and the nation's 117th-rated defense.

Alabama recorded its first shutout since a 45-0 victory over Chattanooga on Nov. 21, 2009, thanks to a blocked field goal by Robert Lester and a goal line stand in the final minutes.

No. 6 Stanford 37, Arizona 10

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Andrew Luck threw for 325 yards and had both of his touchdown passes in the second half, helping Stanford pull away from Arizona.

Stanford (3-0) struggled to find the end zone in the first half, then wore Arizona down in the second.

Luck picked the Wildcats apart on 20-of-31 passing, throwing touchdown passes to Zach Ertz in the third quarter and Levine Toilolo in the fourth. Stepfan Taylor added a career-high 153 yards rushing and Stanford had a balanced 567 yards to win its 11th straight game, the Cardinal's longest run since taking 13 straight from 1939-41.

Nick Foles threw for 239 yards and a touchdown, but couldn't overcome Arizona's anemic running game by himself. The Wildcats (1-2) had just 51 yards rushing on 23 carries in their sixth straight loss to an FBS team.

No. 11 Nebraska 51, Washington 38

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Taylor Martinez threw for two touchdowns and ran for a third to lead the Cornhuskers.

Martinez looked to have put away the Huskies with his 6-yard TD run, but Keith Price passed 52 yards to James Johnson for his fourth TD toss to make it a 13-point game with 4:27 left.

Nebraska (3-0) won the third meeting of the teams in 364 days. Nebraska won in Seattle last September but lost in a rematch at the Holiday Bowl.

The Huskies (2-1) had their six-game winning streak ended.

Washington's Chris Polk ran for 130 yards. Nebraska's Rex Burkhead had 120 yards rushing.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Ronnie Wingo rushed for a career-high 109 yards and scored three touchdowns as the Razorbacks (3-0) defeated Troy.

The Spartans (2-1), who stunned Notre Dame in overtime a year ago with a game-winning TD pass off a fake field goal, tried to surprise the Irish with another fake late in the first half. But it failed when Ethan Johnson broke up a shovel pass attempt and the Irish led 21-10 at the break.

Michigan State's Kirk Cousins was 34 of 53 for 329 yards with one TD and one interception. Tommy Rees was 187 of 26 for 161 yards with a TD and an interception.

Rainey finished with 108 yards rushing, 104 yards receiving and blocked a punt that led to a field goal. His touchdown pretty much sealed it, allowing the Gators (3-0, 1-0) to push their winning streak in the series to seven games.

Florida has won 16 of 22 since the Eastern Division teams started playing annually in 1990. The Volunteers (2-1, 0-1) had hoped to end the streak with quarterback Tyler Bray, but it ended with another Florida celebration in the Swamp.

Miami 24, No. 17 Ohio State 6

MIAMI (AP) - Lamar Miller ran for 184 yards, Jacory Harris threw two first-quarter touchdown passes to Allen Hurns and Miami (1-1) topped Ohio State.

No. 3 LSU visits West Virginia next Saturday.

No. 19 Baylor 48, Stephen F. Austin 0

WACO, Texas (AP) - Robert Griffin III and the Bears (2-0) celebrated their highest ranking since October 1991 by routing Stephen F. Austin in a game that ended in the third quarter because of lightning.

During a 41-minute wait late in the first half, with Baylor already up 31-0, the schools agreed to skip halftime and to trim the final two quarters by 3 minutes each. The game was halted for a second time with 2:58 left in the third quarter. Rather than wait it out, the coaches met at midfield, shook hands and decided to let the clock run out.

The Lumberjacks, an FCS program, fell to 1-2.

Yendrey recovered at the 28, setting up Matthew Tucker's second TD run, a 1-yarder for a 35-17 lead less than 5 minutes into the second half.
