Carolyn Layland Williams passed away at her home in Medford, Oregon on April 12, 2012 from pancreatic cancer. She was born in Huntington Park, California in 1950 to Floyd and Pauline Taylor. In 1986 Carolyn moved to Carson City where she met and married Ron Williams, who preceded her in death. In 2010, Carolyn 'Cupcake' retired from a 28-year career with the United States Postal Service. Carolyn has two children, Stephanie Layland, and Jeff Layland, and two grandchildren, Devin and Taylor. Carolyn is survived by her children; grandchildren; sister, Peggy Christina, brother-in-law, Tony Christina; and mother-in-law Loretta Williams.
Carolyn enjoyed the Nevada Day parade, and hosted home tours for the Carson City Historical Society. She will be remembered for her easy-going attitude, and quick wit.
