Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail over the weekend. All are innocent until proved guilty in court.

• Stephanie Ann Ross, 33, of Carson City, was arrested Saturday evening on charges of felony battery with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor disorderly conduct and misdemeanor obstructing an officer. Several deputies were dispatched to Katie's Bar at 3481 U.S. Highway 50 for a report of a fight involving bottles about 6:30 p.m. Ross was allegedly being belligerent toward officers and was arrested on the obstruction charge. Deputies watched video of the incident and saw Ross allegedly start the fight with profane language before hitting a patron in the head and causing a severe laceration. Her bail was $30,450.

• Garrett John Hatch, 21, of Carson City, was arrested about 6 a.m. Saturday and charged with two counts of felony hit-and-run and several misdemeanors. Deputies responded to a reported hit-and-run accident near Calaveras Drive and North Ormsby Boulevard and reportedly saw people with varying degrees of injuries and vehicle that had been crashed into. Witness reportedly told deputies that Hatch was driving the car responsible.

He was found at his residence with a vehicle matching the description provided by witnesses and major damage to the front end, according to the police report. He also smelled of alcohol, according to the report. He was arrested on the felony charges, two counts of arrest of a probationer, first offense driving under the influence, hit and run of an unoccupied vehicle, failure to report an accident and driving on a sidewalk. His bail was $88,025.

• Mathew Martin, a 19-year-old transient, was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Friday and charged with felony possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, three misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor criminal contempt. Deputies with the Special Enforcement Team were conducting a narcotics compliance check at the Carson City Inn with a K-9 unit when the drug dog alerted on one of the rooms. Martin reportedly answered the door and gave consent for the K-9 to search the room. During the search, officers reportedly found two glass pipes commonly used for smoking methamphetamine, one pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana, a straw commonly used to smoke heroin and several pill bottles with prescription pills inside. His bail was $6,000.

• Guillermo Hernandez, 21, of Carson City, was arrested about 2:40 a.m. Sunday on a felony warrant charging him with burglary, burglary with a deadly weapon and grand larceny. A deputy was dispatched to a reported party near Mulligan and Latigo drives. Hernandez was reportedly there and run through dispatch, where the warrant was discovered. His bail was $20,000.
