The 2014 Bonanza Round Up will be returning to Carson City on June 26, 2014. Promoters of the hit-TV fan convention say space is running out for the event, despite being more than 18 months away. “Bonanza,” one of the most popular westerns around, ran from 1959 through 1973, continuing in reruns today and the “Bonanza” theme song is one of the most recognizable. The show was created by David Dortort and starred Lorne Greene, Pernell Roberts, Dan Blocker, Michael Landon, Mitch Vogel, Victor Sen Yung and David Carnary.Starting in 1999, “Bonanza” fans held conventions in Lake Tahoe. “Bonanza’s” last Nevada convention was in 2009. After the 2009 convention, a new committee was formed, headed by Cheryl Dubuque, and the new “Round Up” was held in September 2011 in Burbank, Calif. The show was filmed in and around Burbank and Hollywood, as well as Nevada. Now, by popular demand, the “Round Up” will be taking place in Carson City — hosted by the Gold Dust Hotel on June 26, 2014, through June 29, 2014.For more information visit www.bonanzaroundup.com or contact Cheryl by email at bonanzacon2011@yahoo.com.
