A possible grease fire gutted a doublewide manufactured home Friday morning.
Dispatch logs show a female called 911 just before 11 a.m. She told dispatchers that she was cooking fries when the grease possibly caught fire. Her four dogs and two cats were inside. All were found safe after the fire was knocked down.
When Carson City firefighters arrived on scene, about 75 percent of the home was engulfed, incident commander Bob Charles said. Because of the style of home, he said its possible it will be declared a total loss.
He said 16 firefighters were in scene, including some from the East Fork Fire District out of Douglas county.
