Surrounded by family, Ronald Corda, 67, passed away on February 15, 2012, in Carson City, NV. He was born on May 17, 1944 in Gardnerville, NV to Ed and Marie Corda. Ron graduated from Douglas High School and attended Sierra College in Rocklin, CA. After starting a family, he began a 30 year career as a Chevron Dealer, the last 25 years at Ron Corda's Chevron in Carson City. Throughout his life, he developed many friends that he has always felt fortunate to have. Some of his favorite interests were watching movies, games, card playing and music. He was athletic from an early age and played many sports. Although golf was his final passion the most important thing in his life was spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his sister, Sandy Arraiz; his brother, Eddie Paul Corda; his four children, Tony Corda, Amy Halton, Mandy Ingersoll and Stephen Corda. He was also blessed with 7 grandchildren.
Ron Corda was a wonderful and loving son, brother, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
A rosary will be recited on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 5:30 pm at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Carson City.
