Arthur Ray Valladao, 86, of Carson City passed away on January 25, 2012 at Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation. He was born to Ray and Maria Valladao in Atwater, California. He has been a Carson City resident since 1978, moving here from Colorado. Arthur proudly served with the United States Army during World War II - serving with the 10th Mountain Division in Italy from 1944-1945.
Arthur's most notable quality was the 'gift of gab.' His skill was known so well that he was actually coaxed out of retirement in order to contribute his people skills to Carson Masonry. He loved watching baseball games, and primarily those of the Colorado Rockies. Arthur's other most recognized quality was his hardworking mentality ~ working from sunrise to sunset on the farm when he was a Dairyman.
Preceding Arthur in death was his loving wife, Margaret Ruth; daughter Margaret Dale Miller; 4 siblings, and his parents. He is survived by his son, Arthur J. (Susan) Valladao of Lubbock, Texas and his daughter, Sheron Valladao of Las Vegas, Nevada.
There will be a public visitation on Saturday, January 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City. Funeral Services will follow in Walton's Chapel at 12 p.m. The interment will immediately follow the services at Walton's Carson Gardens, located behind the Funeral Home.
