Obituary: T. J. Parsley

T J Parsley, 86, of Dayton, Nevada, passed away at his home on July 16, 2012. He was born October 20, 1925, in Athens, Alabama, to James and Dovie Parsley. He was a longtime resident of northern Nevada after he retired in California where he had worked in the construction business as a tile finisher.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Sylvia, of Dayton; sons, James (Angie), Michael O., and Michael A. (Tricia) all of Dayton and Larry (Betty) of Sacramento, CA.; daughter: Linda (Roy) Chaney of Dayton. He also is survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Terry; two sisters, Lorraine and Flora; grandson, Freaddy and great-grandson Colby.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at FitzHenry's Funeral Home. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
