Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail recently. All are innocent until proved guilty in court.

• David Illig, 25, of Carson City, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Saturday and charged with felony probation violation. Illig was pulled over for a traffic violation near East College Parkway and U.S. Highway 395 and appeared nervous, according to the arrest report. He reportedly told police he had smoked heroin about a week before. He had no bail.

• Luz Maria Jiminez, 60, of Dayton, was arrested about 11:50 p.m. Saturday and charged with use of false identification to obtain money, a felony, and possession of a false ID, a misdemeanor. She allegedly tried to cash a check made out to another person with a fake ID at the Nugget Casino in Carson City. Her bail was $26,000.

• Daniel Jacob Worth, 31, of Chico, Calif., was arrested about 5 a.m. Friday and charged with gross misdemeanor battery on a peace officer and the misdemeanors of being a drunken pedestrian on the highway, obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest. He was reportedly disrupting traffic on U.S. Highway 50 East near Lompa Lane and appeared "very intoxicated," according to the arrest report. During his arrest, he allegedly kicked an officer in the chest. His bail was $3,125.

• Police arrested a man who refused to identify himself about 2 a.m. Saturday and charged him with gross misdemeanor battery on a peace officer and obstructing an officer with violence, a misdemeanor, and arrested a 21-year-old Dayton man and charged him with misdemeanor interfering/obstructing a peace officer. Deputies were patrolling the downtown bars due to increased violence there recently when they saw a fight starting, according to the arrest report. The unidentified man, booked as John Doe, allegedly cursed at deputies and punched one in the body. The Dayton man reportedly approached the John Doe despite officers telling him to stay back and was arrested also, according to the report. The John Doe's bail was $3,000. The Dayton man's bail was $500.
