Utah pitcher joins WNC softball

The Western Nevada College Wildcats softball team added Carlee Beck to its roster.

Beck, from Layton High School in Utah, signed a national letter of intent to play at WNC.

Beck capped off her high school career with a deep run in the state playoffs and was a key player for the Lancers as the varsity pitcher over three seasons.

She had a strong senior year, compiling a 12-13 record with a 3.78 ERA while pitching all but one inning in the season.

Her post season awards included: Team MVP, second team all-state, first team all-region and second team all -area.

Beck received several college offers and chose WNC after her campus visit. According to Beck, she really loved the area and the coaching staff really impressed her.
