The Las Vegas 51s edged the Reno Aces, 6-5, in 10 innings on Saturday in the series opener at Cashman Field in Las Vegas.
Left-hander Taylor Sinclair took the loss for Reno, which fell to 31-26 on the season.
Evan Shane Crawford earned the win in relief for the 51s (32-24 ).
Reno had a 3-0 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth before Las Vegas went ahead, 4-3, with two runs in both the sixth and eighth innings.
The Aces sent the game into extra innings with a run in the top of the ninth.
The teams square off again today in Pacific League play with a 12:05 p.m. start.
