Pancake breakfast to kick off Summer Reading Program

The Carson City Library's annual Summer Reading Program pancake breakfast kickoff is 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday on the library's front lawn.

This eight-week Summer Reading Program is for ages 2 to 17 and begins with program sign-ups, a free goodie bag and a book, face-painting, balloons, and a huge "Bucks for Books" sale by the Friends of the Library.

Tickets for are $15 for families, $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger.

This event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Carson City, and will benefit programming at the library for the next year. Contact Amber Sady, Youth Services librarian, at (775) 887-2244, or visit www.carsoncitylibrary.org for more information.
