'LEGALLY BLONDE' DEBUTS
Theater, music and instrumental students at CHS have been extremely busy preparing for the musical production of "Legally Blonde."
The show opens next weekend at the Community Center.
It is directed by Karen Chandler with vocal direction by Andy Sonnemaker, orchestra direction by Jarod Sorum, and choreography by Gina Davis.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. March 23, 24, 30, 31; and 2 p.m. April 1. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

HOSA to STATE
Next week, 45 Health Occupation Students of America students will be traveling to Las Vegas to compete in the annual leadership conference.
Students have been working hard and are excited to show their health-care skills in the attempt to qualify for nationals in Orlando, Fla.
BROBOTS FUNDRAISER
The CHS Robotic Team will be competing in the World Championships in April.
They have arranged a fundraiser at Applebee's on Wednesday.
You must bring a flier in with you when you dine, and 15 percent of all proceeds will be donated to the Robotics Team.
Please come out and help raise some much needed funds.

SERVICE ACADEMYINFORMATION DAY
The Nevada congressional delegation is sponsoring the Service Academy Information Day at 9 a.m. March 31 at UNR's Joe Crowley Student Union.
This is a great opportunity to find out what it takes to attend our nation's service academies.
JUST KEEP RUNNING
If you like participating in organized races, then mark your calendars for the following events.
March 24: Chelsea Gordon, senior at CHS, has put together a walkathon for the Reno Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The walk/run will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the CHS track. To participate, adults will be asked to donate $10 for each mile they complete.
Students 18 and younger are asked for a donation of $5 for each mile. Those students will be required to have a parent signature to participate. For information, call Chelsea at 291-6309.
March 31: Mary Longero, senior at CHS, has organized a fundraiser run/walk for staff member Linda Peton, who under went a heart transplant in August. Check-in will be at 8 a.m.
To participate, adults are asked to donate $15, students are asked to donate $10, and those 55 and older are asked for a donation of $10. A raffle is also scheduled for the day, with proceeds going to Peton.
April 7: A 5K Memorial Run/Walk is planned in honor of Stephen Anderson and Keegan Aiazzi, who died last spring from a diving accident.
Funds will benefit the Carson High School Athletic Fund.
The walk/run will start at El Charro Avitia on South Carson Street.
Pre-registration is at 7 a.m., and the run begins at 8. Register at active.com.
A T-shirt will also be included with paid registration of $30 for adults and $10 for students 18 and younger.
April 14: Firkin and Fox is sponsoring a "CHS Safe Grad 5 K Walk-Run" on at 9 a.m. Cost is $15. Register at www.race360.
STAFF FACT
Answer to last weeks fact is Mike Malley. Mike is a member of the Naval Reserves.
During his time as an active member of the U.S. Navy, Malley crossed the Arctic Circle.
