The Empowered Lives through the Cancer Journey foundation is hosting an adult Halloween party fundraiser.On Oct. 27, the nonprofit foundation, housed at the Sierra Nevada Cancer Center, will host a V&T Railroad Halloween adult spirits train. The event is 6 p.m. at the F Street Station in Virginia City. The event features spirits (beer, wine), music , and special treats for adults 21 years of age and older.Tickets are $55 per individual or $100 per couple and include train ride, music and refreshments. Costumes are encouraged. All profits go directly to helping cancer patients and caregivers.The Empowering Lives through the Cancer Journey foundation was established to support, encourage, and empower both the patient and their caregivers throughout their cancer treatment.
