Road report

The following information applies to the period of Oct. 22-28:There will be intermittent delays on Roop Street between Hot Springs Road and Winnie Lane throughout the week due to sidewalk construction.The Nevada Department of Transportation will be paving their maintenance yard located on Fairview Drive just east of the Carson City Freeway interchange. The outside westbound lane on Fairview Drive will be closed at this location.• Curry Street will be closed between 6th Street and 7th Street from Monday through Friday due to construction activity. Detours will be signed.• On Monday through Wednesday traffic control will be in effect on Arrowhead Drive north of U.S. Highway 50 due to utility work. No lane closures are expected.• On Thursday, traffic control will be in effect between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. on the following route to allow for the movement of an oversized load: Carson City Airport, Technology Way, Arrowhead Drive, US Highway 50, William Street, Carson City Mills Park.•There will be nightly lane closures on US 395 from the junction of US 50W (Spooner) to 1st Street in Minden, Sunday through Thursday, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. There will be flagger controlled traffic. Nevada DayOn Saturday the following streets will be closed for the Nevada Day parade and celebration from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Detours will be marked.• Carson Street from Winnie Lane to Fairview Drive.• All east-west streets between Division Street and Carson Street from Bath Street at the north end to William Street at the south end.• All east-west streets between Carson Street and Stewart Street from Long Street at the north end to Park Street at the south end. • Curry Street from Robinson Street to Proctor Street.• Stewart Street from Fifth Street to Carson Street.• Musser Street between Stewart Street and Carson Street.
