Road Report

The following information applies to the period of Oct. 29 - Nov. 4:

Roop Street between Hot Springs Road and Winnie Lane will be closed 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday for the striping of the street. There will also be intermittent delays throughout the week due in this area..

The Nevada Department of Transportation will be paving their maintenance yard located on Fairview Drive just east of the Carson City Freeway interchange. The outside westbound lane on Fairview Drive will be closed at this location on Tuesday.

On Monday, traffic control will be in effect 2-6 a.m. on the following route to allow for the movement of an oversized load: Carson City Mills Park, William Street, Highway 50, Arrowhead Drive, and Technology Way.

There will be nightly lane closures on U.S. 395 from the junction of US 50W (Spooner) to 1st Street in Minden, Sunday through Thursday, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. There will be flagger-controlled traffic.

Curry Street will be closed between 6th and 7th streets Monday through Friday due to construction activity. Detours will be signed.

There will be daytime utility work in the shoulder of Tenaya Drive from Monday through Thursday. The road will be open to traffic and delays will be minimal.

On Nov. 4, there will be an organized motorcycle ride 12:30-4 p.m. The route will be on the following streets: Snyder Avenue, Carson Street, College Parkway, and Research Way. The roads will remain open to traffic, but motorists are asked to exercise caution.
