Victoria Pradere, Matriarch of Dayton, 89, joined the angels on Oct. 24, 2012. Victoria Maria Della Santa was born in Dayton, Nev. on June 18, 1923. She was an only child to Italian immigrants, Assunta Bagniatori Della Santa and Vittorio Della Santa. She attended Dayton schools and married Evert Kraai at 17 years of age. She had three children, Victor
(1942), Delinda (1945), and Duana (1947).
Victoria owned and operated Dayton Chevron station for many years. She married Camille Pradere in 1964. She attended St. Ann's Catholic Church in Dayton and was an active member of the Dayton Senior Center. She was
preceded in death by step-son, Russell Pradere; parents, Assunta and Vittorio Della Santa; husband, Camille Pradere; and son, Victor Kirby.
She is survived by daughters. Delinda Kraai Kirby Kinkel (Mike) and Duana Kraai Kirby Lompa (Sam); Step-son, Mike Pradere (Barbara); daughter-in-law, Barbara Jean Kirby; Grandchildren, Lynnda Dee Kinkel English (Darwin),
Randy Kirby (Marilou), Michael Kinkel (Kallee), Samuel Lompa (Shae), Gregory Lompa (Mary), Paul Pradere (Chris), Michael Pradere, and Brant Pradere; grand-daughter in law, Ginger Babcock; great grandchildren, Tyler English (Karina), Trevor English, Kiersten Smithson Kinkel, Jacob Kinkel, Owen Lompa, Wyatt Lompa, Laura Pradere, and Cole Pradere.
Services will be held at St. Teresa's Catholic Church on Lompa Lane in Carson City at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Internment to follow at Lone Mountain Cemetery and reception will be held at the Dayton Senior Center at about 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dayton Senior Center.
