SPARKS — Dayton High’s volleyball team continued its impressive early season start with a 25-11, 25-13 and 25-17 victory over Sparks in a Division 1A match Wednesday night.Dayton improved to 15-1 overall and 1-0 in league play. The Dust Devils play their home opener on Friday against Lowry at 6 p.m.“It was really a great game (match) and we had good all-around play,” Dayton coach Monica Halverson said.There were no match stats available because of a computer breakdown.SPANISH SPRINGS SWEEPS DHS SPARKS — Spanish Springs rolled to a 25-13, 25-14 and 25-13 win over Douglas Wednesday night.Kristina Barnum and Shelby Van Winkle had five kills apiece for the Tigers, while Shawne McFadden and Jenna Broussard added four apiece. Katie McCullough had two kills and three digs, while Hailee Porras and Ariah Barth had four digs each. Van Winkle also finished with nine assists.
