Wild Horse Children’s Theater is accepting applications from children in grades 1-8 for “Summer on Broadway 2013” theater camp set for June 17 through 28 in the Performance Hall at the Brewery Arts Center, 511 W. King St.
“Fables, Fairy Tales and Fun” will run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday from June 17 to 28. Participants will bring fables to life with lessons in voice, movement and acting. There will be theater games, storytelling, arts and crafts with mask making workshops, make-up application workshops and practice with props and costumes. The camp is limited to 25 children.
“Musical Theater Revue” will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday from June 17 to 28. This session will emphasize Broadway hits with students learning songs and dances from classic and contemporary shows.
Attendees of both sessions will showcase work in a production to be held at 7 p.m. June 28 in the Performance Hall at the Brewery Arts Center.
Tuition for each session is $150. There is a $50 discount for students who would like to attend both sessions. Students attending both sessions will be able to bring a lunch and attend camp from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Space is limited.
