Fire department responds to small brush fire

Two brush trucks from Fallon/Churchill Fire Department responded Friday morning to a small brush fire on South Allen Road.

The initial report indicated that brush was being burned when a gust of wind carried sparks to the other side of a ditch that skirted the road.

The fire department estimates about one-half acre was burned.
