Carson High candidates for prom royalty named

Carson High School’s prom king and queen candidates were announced to the senior class during an assembly Monday.

Teachers selected the candidates, but classmates will vote on the winners. The king and queen will be announced during Saturday’s prom in the gym at the school.

During the assembly, a group of seniors performed “Carry On” by the group Fun., and candidates participated in competitions, including a cracker-eating contest.

Candidates for prom king are Casey Reid, 17; Cole McCarthy, 18; Kenny Koop, 18; Mohammad Sayfi, 18; Matt DeMar, 17; and Logan Krupp, 18.

Candidates for prom queen are Emma Caufield, 17; Megan Streeter, 18; Shaylee Nystrom, 18; Hannah Novak, 17; Kylie Jensen, 17; and Cailin Jones, 17.
