Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Nov. 27. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:
Smith’s Food & Drug, bakery, 599 E. William St., scored 100 points.
Smith’s Food 7 Drug, deli department, 599 E. William St., 100 points.

Johnny Rockets, 4600 Snyder Ave., Suite B, 99 points. Ice scoops were not stored properly at the soda dispenser, corrected on site.
Jack in the Box, 3665 S. Carson St., 98 points. Areas inside the upper half of the main ice machine were dirty with biofilm buildup.
Galaxy Fandango, restaurant, 4000 S. Curry St., 94 points. A floor degreaser was being used to clean food contact surfaces at the customer food counter, corrected on site. Chemicals were stored on the shelf above the three-compartment sink. Quat test strips were not available in the food service area. The reach-in at the entrance to the snack bar needed defrosting, and the hanging thermometer was encased in ice.
Nice & Easy Catering, 5389 Carroll Blvd., 89 points. Hot foods were stored at 119 degrees. Employees were handling ready-to-eat foods without gloves. The door handle on the vegetable refrigerator could not be closed properly. A certified food handler was not on duty, repeat violation.
