Carson City’s Board of Supervisors is looking for people interested in serving on the community’s Shade Tree Council.
The board seeks applications to fill terms expiring in January 2016.
There are four openings. Applicants are expected to serve up to 10 hours a week.
The council advises the board on matters concerning the development, maintenance, management and promotion of a safe and attractive “urban forest” in the city, according to a news release.
Meetings are at 5:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every other month in the Sierra Room at the Carson Community Center, at Roop and William streets.
Applications may be obtained from and returned to the Carson City Executive Offices in City Hall, 201 N. Carson St., Suite 2.
Applications will be accepted through Dec. 20.
