Raymond Peter Plasse, 14, son of Ed and Sandra Plasse of Fallon has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in a court of honor held on Nov. 23.

Raymond is a member of Troop “Independence” 1776. The troop is chartered by Epworth United Methodist church. For his Eagle project Raymond, constructed the remodeling and repairing of three large bleachers at the Lions Club North Maine Girls Softball fields. The renovation consisted of sanding boards, painting boards, replacing boards, scraping and painting the frames and roof tops. Along with the restoration of the three bleachers, Raymond also painted the half-mile yielding parking rail a new bright yellow to attract the one-way entrance into the parking area so that drivers would notice “No Parking” children crossing. Dedicating more than 500 hours of service towards his community, Raymond raised money by mowing lawns, yard work, house sitting and taking care of neighborhood pets. Raymond is a freshman, at Churchill County High School. Finally, a special thank you to Churchill County Parks and Recreation.
