To sponsor a child for Christmas, choose a tag — which includes child’s name, age, hobbies, clothes size, and wish list — from any angel tree in Douglas County and return wrapped gifts to the angel tree location by Dec. 16. The Governor’s Mansion, 606 N. Mountain St., will host a Christmas food drive from 6 to 10 a.m. Dec. 13 for Advocates to End Domestic Violence. The Governor’s Mansion will hold two other food drives on the same day, one from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and another from 2 to 6 p.m. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
