Helen Julia 'Sally' Hill, born December 12, 1927 to David Dotz and Helen Goetche Dotz in Fond du Lac Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly February 8, 2013, surrounded by her family, due to complications from a fall two weeks prior. Sally had just celebrated her 40th kidney transplant anniversary, her 60th wedding anniversary and her 85th birthday in December 2012.Sally, a Douglas County resident for almost 30 years, is probably best remembered as the friendly voice on the phone where she worked the last 25 years with her sons keeping books, answering phones and entertaining customers at Carson Truck & Auto Repair in Carson City. She is survived by her husband Louis 'Doug' Hill and her two sons Doug and Dave. Prior to the time she spent working with her sons she was a real estate agent, hair stylist, restaurant hostess, fashion model and, long ago, a switch board operator for Bell Telephone where she met her husband.Sally was a devoted Christian who loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sally will be terribly missed by her husband Doug, sons Doug and his wife Patty and Dave and his wife Sheila as well as the countless people whose lives she touched throughout her life. Sally was always kind, understanding, helpful, thoughtful, patient and happy. She always saw the positive in people and never wasted her time being negative with others. Although our hearts are broken we are blessed that Sally lived a full, happy and healthy life with her family always near.In following with Sally's wishes, no services or memorial is planned. Those wishing to honor Sally are invited to attend and donate to Hilltop Community Church in Indian Hills where she was a long time member. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We are greatly comforted by knowing we will be with her again.
