Robin McCullough was called to be with the Lord on Dec. 21, 2012.
He was born in Capetown, South Africa on March 3, 1939. After coming to the United States at age, 7, his family settled in Ohio. Robin became a US citizen several years later. The family then moved to North Plainfield, N.J., where he graduated from high school. Soon afterward, Robin enlisted in the US Army, and spent four years in the service.
Robin was known as a man who would be there anytime, any place, to help you if he was needed. He was also known for his extraordinary generosity, his kind and gentle manner, his attention to detail, his sense of humor and a laugh you couldn't forget. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He was a member and Acolyte in his beloved St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Virginia City. He loved his little dog, Tina, was an avid reader, jigsaw puzzler, master gardener, and enjoyed being a "flagger" at Fernley Raceway. He was also restoring his little red MG.
He and his family enjoyed many years in a dirt bike club, "The Sandcrabs," while living in So. Cal.
Robin was a 35 year member of the So Cal Car Club, as well as a member of the Reno British Car Club for many years.
Robin was preceded in death by his father; mother, and stepmother.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shari Lynn Church McCullough; stepfather, Col. H.J. (Reddy) Redfield (Aida) of Mt. Dora, Fla.; sons, John McCullough (Charity) of Pine Bluff, Ark., Christopher Rose of Houston, Texas; daughters, Monique Bellon of Cle Elum, Wash., Lisa Graziano of Tualatin, Oregon; sister-in-law, Laurie Church Masters (William) of Dayton, Nev.; brother-in-law, Bill Church (Marta) of Garden Grove, Calif.; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robin was one of a kind and the best husband and friend you'd ever want.
He will be missed, but will remain in our hearts forever.
