Q: What are your favorite sports and why?
A: I like playing basketball because it gives me those two hours everyday to be around my friends and it allows me to meet many new people. I also like watching soccer.
Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?
A: Kevin Garnett. He is an example of an athlete who never gave up on his team, and he's been a favorite since I was younger.
Q: How do you feel about drug/alcohol testing at the high school level? Should it be random or should everybody on a team be tested at least once during the season?
A: I think everyone should be tested randomly.
Q: If you saw a teammate using drugs or alcohol, what would you do? Would you talk to him about it or turn him into the coach?
A: I would first talk to them about it then we would talk to the coach about it.
Q: The Olympics just ended. How much of the coverage did you watch and what sport did you enjoy watching the most and why?
A: I watched a bit each night. I enjoyed watching the swimmers, divers, gymnastics and track.
Q: Do you have any hobbies, and if so, what are they?
A: I like to bake when I have free time.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: My favorite is chicken alfredo, and I love peach rings even though it's not food.
Q: What is the last non-academic you read?
A: "The House on Mango Street."
Q: If you could change one thing about your high school, what would it be?
A: I would change our lunch area, since we really don't have one.
Q: What sport isn't offered at the high school level that you think should be?
A: Lacrosse would be fun, and hockey, too.
Q: After graduation, where do you plan to attend college and what are you looking at in terms of a major?
A: I plan on going to UNR and majoring in business, and then becoming a pediatrician.
