The number of active registered voters in Nevada has declined by about 6,700 after counties completed updating voter records.
Monthly figures released Tuesday by the secretary of state’s office show all political parties with the exception of the Libertarian Party saw a decrease in voter registration numbers in June.
Statewide, Democrats still hold a huge lead over Republicans. Democrats outnumber Republicans by nearly 98,000. Of the more than 1.2 million active voters, 42 percent are Democrats, 34 percent are Republicans and 17 percent are nonpartisan. The remaining voters align with other minor political parties.
The Libertarian Party picked up 26 registrants since May for a total of 8,863.
