Republican Rep. Joe Heck is kicking off his 2014 re-election bid with money in the bank.
The latest campaign reports show the two-term congressman from Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District raised $554,000 in the last quarter that ended June 30. He has more than $658,000 cash on hand.
His only declared opponent so far, Democratic contender Erin Bilbray, didn’t announce for the race until July 1, a day after the reporting period ended.
District 4 Democratic Rep. Steven Horsford raised $305,000 but ended the period with $21,000 cash on hand after paying off expenses.
Rep. Dina Titus, a Democrat representing District 1, reports $142,000 cash on hand. An updated report from Republican Rep. Mark Amodei in District 2 was not yet posted on the Federal Election Commission website Tuesday morning.
