Obituary: Barbara G. Meacham

Barbara “Bobbie” Gayle Meacham, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother has passed from this world July 6, 2013. Born October 2, 1945 to Clovis and Odean Benson, she spent much of her life in California, before meeting the love of her life Deloye in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Barbara was greatly loved and valued by friends and family alike, and will always be remembered for her infectious smile and her selfless way of showing kindness to others.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Deloye Meacham of Dayton; son, Clayton Hollaway (Marsha) of Prescott, Arizona; son, Kevin Hollaway (Tish) of Carson City; stepson, Deloye Meacham Jr (Cristina) of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; stepdaughter, Cathy Robinson (Alan) of Minden; and stepdaughter, Teena Marquez of Barstow, California. Barbara is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on July 20, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Calvary Chapel, 28 Enterprise Way in Dayton Nevada. A reception will immediately follow at the Dayton Community Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Nevada Food Bank or the Dayton Community Center Restoration Project.
