Fallon’s Babe Ruth all-star teams struggled in their regional tournament after winning state earlier in the month.
The 13-15 all-star team managed one win in four pool games but couldn’t advance to the single-elimination portion of the Pacific Southwest Regional in Tucson, Ariz.
Fallon lost to Arizona, 11-0, and Central California, 14-1, on Saturday to begin the tournament but notched its first win, a 10-2 decision over Guam on Sunday. Northern California ousted the Nevada team on Monday, 18-0.
The 14-year-old all-star team opened its regional similarly in Surprise, Ariz.
Arizona’s top team, Hamilton, shut down Fallon in the first pool game on Monday, handing the Nevada representatives a 24-0 loss. Fallon faced Southern California on Tuesday and will meet Hawaii today at noon. The top two teams in each pool advance to the single-elimination bracket.
