Northern Nevada Today, a program for distribution on YouTube, will focus on small businesses and nonprofit organizations, according to the producer.
Norine Krulevitch of Dayton, the producer who also will serve as hostess and interviewer, said she will showcase such firms in half-hour shows available as Internet webcasts. The first production is set for this month, Krulevitch said.
“The viewer will learn how the featured business started and how long the business has been operating in Northern Nevada,” she . The shows also will delve into what sets the firm apart in its field and how it keeps bringing clients or customers back.
Krulevitch intends that the first production be done at 10 a.m. June 29 at the Bullwinkle Restaurant in Mound House, with Timecast Productions of Carson City handling the production work for her.
Two of her four sponsors will be featured on that show, along with Kathy Bray, field representative for the Retired and Senior Volunteer Organization in Carson City and Nevada’s rural counties, said Krulevtitch. She said the sponsors on that show, which will go up on Northern Nevada Today YouTube a few days after it is taped, are Dean Miller of Reno and Fast Frame in the Carson Valley.
The other sponsors, she said, are El Dorado Storage in Dayton and Perfect Entertainment in Silver Springs.
Krulevitch said she had a community-oriented show in Millbrae, Calif., a San Francisco suburb, about 20 years ago when she was an agent in the Bay Area for musical groups. She said she hopes her effort will promote Northern Nevada’s firms with exposure 24/7 on YouTube and via sharing across the Web.
