LAS VEGAS — Casino operator Caesars Entertainment Corp. is cutting ties with celebrity chef and southern food connoisseur Paula Deen.
Caesars announced Wednesday it has reached an agreement with Paula Deen Enterprises to end their business relationship, a week after Deen admitted she has used racial slurs.
Caesars operates four Deen-themed restaurants at casinos across the country. The Las Vegas company says it will rebrand the restaurants in the coming months.
Deen has lost several parts of her empire in recent days, including contracts with Smithfield Foods and the Food Network. QVC and Sears say they are reviewing their deals with Deen’s company.
Deen’s public relations team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
