At 2 p.m., East Fork Fire and Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a fire on the corner of Highway 395 and Sunridge Road near the Carson-Douglas county line.
The fire was quickly contained, however has caused a power outage in the area, to include the traffic lights at the intersection of Highway 395 and Sunridge Drive.
No structures have been damaged and no one has been reported injured. Investigation continues as to the cause of the fire.
Estimates as to when the power will be restored is unknown. NV Energy is aware and sending service vehicles to restore the power.
