Two Fallon residents were caught with their pants down.

Anthony Sanchez, 46, and Donna Deroche, 48, were arrested March 11 by Churchill County sheriff deputies after the two were caught having sex on the porch of the Churchill Arts Center.

Sanchez and Deroche appeared Thursday in Justice Court. Sanchez waived his right to a preliminary hearing and is scheduled to appear in District Court on Tuesday. Deroche, meanwhile, is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in Justice Court on March 29.

Both were released from custody of the jail to no objection from Churchill County Deputy District Attorney Sean Alexander. The first-year prosecutor only asked for one stipulation from Justice of the Peace Mike Richards: “To refrain from having sex in public.”

According to the police report, parents of youth baseball players and several off-duty sheriff’s deputies witnessed the act and contacted law enforcement.

Sanchez and Deroche engaged in sex and when contacted by deputies, the authorities noticed Sanchez zipping his pants, while Deroche was on the porch with her pants around her ankles.

Both were charged with one gross misdemeanor count of indecent or obscene exposure. The charge carries a sentence of one year in jail.

• Lee Zamzow, 21, appeared for a status hearing on child abuse charges.

Zamzow is charged with one felony count of neglect, abuse or endangerment of a child.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 2 at 1:30 p.m. in Justice Court.

He is accused of shooting a 5-year-old child 13 times with an Air Soft gun on Feb. 23. An Air Soft gun uses plastic pellets as projectiles.

According to court records, Fallon police were notified of possible abuse by a bus driver who noticed bruises on the child’s body. When the child was asked how the bruises occurred, the child responded “by a ball gun.”

When police contacted Zamzow, he denied shooting the child and said perhaps a 2-year-old child in home shot the 5-year-old. According to the police report, Henderson then admitted shooting the 5-year-old in an attempt to discipline the youth.

The report also states the gun is spring loaded, which would require the user to cock the toy gun.
