SPARKS (AP) — Sparks police say they have arrested a man accused of stealing Assemblyman Steven Brooks’ car Monday night.
Brooks reported the car stolen around 7 p.m. Monday.
KOLO-TV reports police on Tuesday said the car apparently had been taken by Adriane McFadden.
Police say McFadden is an acquaintance of Brooks and was in the car when it was located on South Rock Boulevard.
McFadden was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft.
Brooks has been staying in Sparks with relatives during time off from the Legislature.
He was put on leave last month following two arrests and hospitalization for a mental evaluation.
