Carson City Road Report for April 1-7

The following information applies to April 1-7:

Due to continued construction of the Carson City Freeway project, Snyder Avenue is closed between East Roland Street and Center Drive. Center Drive and Silver Sage Drive also are closed south of Appion Way. Bennett Avenue is closed between Center and Bigelow drives. Detours will be marked.

On Monday, Airport Road will be closed between Fifth Street and Butti Way for roadway maintenance.

Tuesday through Thursday, West King Street/Kings Canyon Road will be closed between Ormsby Boulevard and Longview Way. Detours will be marked.

Utility work will have the following traffic impacts:

There will be utility work along Old Hot Springs Road between Goni Road and the Carson City Freeway, along Retail Court/Retail Drive, and Hot Springs Road between Roop and Carson streets. The road will be open to through traffic, but there will be occasional lane closures with flagger controls.

There will be utility work along the entire length of Glenbrook Circle. Minor delays are possible.

Special events will have the following impacts:

Fifth Street will be closed between Carson and Stewart streets during the following dates and times due to scheduled special events. Each closure is expected to last about an hour.

• Tuesday, beginning at 11:45 a.m.

• Wednesday, beginning at 5:15 p.m.

• Thursday, beginning at 5:15 p.m.
