The federal Environmental Protection Agency has awarded Nevada $15 million for water projects.
Nevada’s Environmental Protection Division will get $6.5 million for the Clean Water Revolving Fund and $8.5 million for he Drinking Water Revolving fund for water-pollution control and drinking water infrastructure projects.
Regional EPA Administrator Jared Blumenfeld said the EPA has provided more than $320 million in funding for Nevada water projects during the past 24 years.
“Without this investment and creative financing at the federal level, many communities would not be able to provide for Nevadans’ basic needs for clean, safe drinking water,” he said.
