The Crusaders are held to 216 yards of offense, 67 yards coming on a touchdown run by running back Keenan Smith.

Aug. 30

Virgin Valley 26, Faith Lutheran 20

Smith scored two TDs and rushed for 66 yards on 15 carries. The Crusaders had 11 penalties for 105 yards.

Sept. 7

Faith Lutheran 31, Sunrise Mountain 6

Smith rushes for 156 yards and two TDs. He also blocked a field goal and returned it 90 yards for a TD.

Sept. 12

Faith Lutheran 27, Chaparral 12

Quarterback Jacob Deaville completed 5 of 8 passes for 115 yards and one TD. Smith ran for 46 yards and three TDs. Dylan DeFrank and Danny Otuwa each record 17 tackles.

Sept. 20

Faith Lutheran 31, Boulder City 19

Smith runs for 107 yards and one TD, while Fabian Lagudi adds 92 yards and a score. Ben Flandenmeyer tallies 21 total tackles.

Sept. 27

Faith Lutheran 32, Mojave 25

Deaville throws for 246 yards and three TDs, while Vinny DeGeorge adds four catches for 182 yards and three scores. Mark Rubalcaba, Tyler Mahan and Otuwa each record an interception.

Oct. 4

Faith Lutheran 35, Clark 20

Smith runs for 163 yards and three TDs, while Lagudi adds 66 yards and two scores. Flandenmeyer tallies a game-high nine tackles and two sacks.

Oct. 11

Faith Lutheran 38, Pahrump Valley 20

Deaville tosses for 192 yards and three TDs. Smith adds 84 yards rushing, while Lagudi chips in with 78 yards and one score.

Oct. 18

Faith Lutheran 27, Cheyenne 8

DeGeorge and Rubalcaba combine for 110 yards receiving and two TDs. Crusaders’ defense tallies seven sacks and recovers three fumbles as club clinches Sunset title.

Oct. 24

Faith Lutheran 53, Western 6

Deaville rushes for 103 yards and throws for 122 yards in blowout win. Lagudi adds 39 yards rushing and two TDs.

Nov. 1

Playoffs: Faith Lutheran 62, Boulder City 7

Deaville completes 13 of 15 passes for 297 yards and three TDs. Smith rushes for 63 yards and four scores, while DeGeorge hauls in six passes for 247 yards and two TDs.

Nov. 8

Playoffs: Faith Lutheran 48, Desert Pines 41

Deaville has another big game with 227 yards passing and two TDs, while Lagudi runs for 198 yards and four TDs in shootout win.

Nov. 16

I-A state semifinal: Faith Lutheran 16, Lowry 8

In a slugfest, the Crusaders use three field goals by Trent Dolby and a TD run from Smith to get past the Buckaroos. DeGeorge intercepts a pass with 24 seconds left in the game to seal the win.
