Running back Trent Tarner runs for 165 yards and three TDs. Justin Hatfield leads the defense with nine tackles, five for a loss.

Fallon 54, Dayton 7
The Wave’s defense tallied three TDs, five sacks and forced seven turnovers in blowout win over Dust Devils.

Fallon 48, Elko 20
Senior quarterback Morgan Dirickson lit up the Indians for 440 yards and seven TDs, while junior receiver Tyler Bagby hauled in six catches for 251 yards and two TDs.
Oct. 4
Fallon 47, Sparks 6
Linebacker Dakota Schelling recorded two sacks to lead the defense. Dirickson threw for 158 yards on five completions with three TDs.

Fallon 60, Spring Creek 14
Tarner explodes for five TDs and 206 yards on 16 carries. Matzen and Brennan Lewis tally 12 and 10 tackles, respectively.
Oct. 18
Fallon 49, Fernley 6
Dirickson throws for 287 yards and four TDs in rout of cross-valley rival. Matzen returns his seventh punt of the season for a score. Schelling has 12 tackles, three for a loss.
Oct. 26
Fallon 54, Truckee 19
The Wave get first win against Truckee since 1988. Tarner piles up 281 yards and three TDs, while Dirickson throws for 204 yards and four scores.

Lowry 21, Fallon 14
The Buckaroos end Fallon’s dreams of an undefeated season with a hard-fought win, but the Wave claims shares of a three-way tie for the Northern Division I-A title.
Nov. 8
Playoffs: Fallon 20, Fernley 12
In a rematch, the Wave outslug rival Fernley with a late TD pass from Dirickson to Matzen in the fourth quarter to advance to the DI-A state semifinals.
Nov. 16
I-A state semifinal: Fallon 34, Moapa Valley 24
Fallon forced eight turnovers — six interceptions — to clinch a berth in the Division I-A state title game. Dirickson throws for 277 yards and two TDs, while Bagby’s 18-yard pick-six in the fourth quarter seals the win. Matzen tallied four interceptions.
