Life long resident of Fallon , Louis Mori passed away on October 5, 2013 at his home. Louie was born September 3, 1922 to Lorenzo and Menchina (Venturacci). He went through schools in Churchill County. Louie married the love of his life Bernice, in 1925., and together they worked ranching and farming, they raised heart of gold cantaloupes, cattle and garden vegetables They started Lahontan Valley Meats in 1963, celebrating 50 years this year. They loved to travel; fishing and hunting were also on his list of favorites.
Louie was the last survivor of a large family, he was preceded also in death by his wife, Bernice; daughter, Juanita Sue Hopkins. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Saundra and Don Mello; son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Julie Mori; daughter, Marlene Mori; grandchildren, Lawrence Mori, David Mori, Traci Ledesma, Scott Mello, Monte Tarp, Michael Hopkins; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Louie’s life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at The Gardens Chapel with interment to follow at Churchill County Cemetery.
